John Entwistle (The Who) is not only the bassist of one of the most notable bands on the planet, he was also a bit of a revolutionary when it comes to the role of the bassist within a rock group. With a background in French horn, a propensity for improvisation, and a necessity (due to the unpredictability of Keith Moon) for grounding a rhythm, Entwistle’s work is certainly worth studying.
